1. Business Model and Commitment
2. Policy Statement
Vegas Nova is not a financial institution, but we apply the highest standards of AML/CTF compliance applicable to licensed gaming operators. We strictly prohibit the use of our products or Services for:
- Money laundering
- Terrorist financing
- Fraud or financial crime
- Breaches of international trade sanctions
Our policies are designed in line with international best practices, including guidance from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the Anjouan Gaming Commission, and other recognised industry standards.
3. Definitions
- Money Laundering: the process of disguising the origins of illegally obtained funds, typically through placement, layering, and integration.
- Suspicious Activity: any transaction or behaviour that suggests possible illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive intent.
- Sanctions: restrictions imposed by international authorities to prevent financial activity with prohibited persons, groups, or jurisdictions.
4. Governance & Oversight
Vegas Nova has a dedicated Compliance team responsible for:
- Implementing AML/CTF policies and procedures
- Overseeing customer due diligence (CDD) and ongoing monitoring
- Reviewing regulatory developments and updating policies accordingly
- Coordinating staff training and investigating suspicious activity
5. Know Your Customer (KYC) & Due Diligence
We apply a risk-based approach to KYC at registration and throughout the customer relationship. This includes:
- Identity Verification: customers may be required to provide government-issued ID, proof of address, payment method verification, and a selfie for biometric checks.
- Age Verification: only customers aged 18 or older (or higher where required by local law) may use our Services.
- Geo-Blocking: access is blocked from prohibited or sanctioned jurisdictions. VPNs and other masking tools are strictly forbidden.
- Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): for high-risk accounts or transactions, we may request additional documentation such as source of funds, source of wealth, or detailed financial records.
Customers who fail to provide required documentation, provide false details, or attempt to bypass these restrictions will have their accounts suspended or closed.
6. Transaction Monitoring
We monitor all transactions to identify unusual, high-risk, or suspicious activity. This includes:
- Screening payment methods and wallets against sanctions databases
- Monitoring deposit and withdrawal patterns for red-flag behaviour
- Detecting attempts to mix, anonymise, or disguise funds
- Preventing transfers to or from prohibited jurisdictions
If suspicious behaviour is detected, transactions may be delayed, frozen, or refused pending investigation.
